Remotely Operated Vehicles
ROV operations
When inspections or searches are done over a large or deep area, divers face many obstacles. of particular concern to safety is fast moving water and the cold. Waters in the region can be as low as 40 degrees F, and a diver can become chilled within minutes. Bulky suits are an option to reduce that loss of heat, but even then, we usually have a limited amount of time to work at deoth. Luckily, we here at Pinpoint Diving have another solution.
A Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) allows us to observe, inspect, search, and identify from the safe dry distance of the surface. When used in conjuction with other diving services, the ROV allows us to make a more complete plan of the task, and can also be used to monitor progress from the surface.
In our stock, we have a OpenROV Trident, with a range and rated to a depth of over 300 ft. Even at the dark cold depths, we can perform many of the requisite tasks to complete our job.
